Finance Committee

The Finance Committee is a sub-committee of the Lincoln Board of Education. The Finance Committee is chaired by the Board Treasurer, and it includes two other Board members, District Superintendent, Finance Director, and Human Resource Director. The Committee meets every other month.

The purpose of the Finance Committee is to set expectations and financial goals for the District. To review, monitor, and have input into the district's general fund and the operating budget of the Lincoln Athletic Building (LAB). The Committee reviews the financial impact of district personnel, projects, and other expenses that would affect the general fund. The Committee also reviews the periodic amendments to the general fund, and it makes recommendations on the district’s ending fund balance.

The Committee shares its information and recommendations with other committees, such as Planning, Performance, and Executive. In some cases, the committee will be asked to make a recommendation directly to the Lincoln Board of Education.
